My research interests include the sociology of religion, social movements and culture, with a focus on religious change. The majority of my research to date has focused on Roman Catholicism. My book, Vatican II: A Sociological Study of Religious Change, will be forthcoming with Princeton University Press in 2007. I use multiple methods in my research, most often historical/comparative.
