A little about me...

Though everyone calls me Alex, I was born Alexander Peter Reynolds on August 15, 1975, Shrewsbury, UK, of Welsh parents Francis Charles Reynolds and Gaynor Ann Lewis.

Until I was 4 or so, we lived in several areas of western UK, including the cities of Newtown and Preston. From there we moved to various places: Montreal, Canada. Fort Worth, Texas. Then back to Montreal for a year or so, and finally to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I finished high school.

In August 1993, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland to study at the Johns Hopkins University. After completing bachelors degrees in Biology and Mathematics and a minor in German in May of 1997, I took a short break in Germany, and finally I began work as a computer consultant with the Department of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania in November of 1997.

Work

A list of my current and past projects and my resume are kept in my Work section.

I also consult on matters related to network and web design, database and Mac OS X programming. If you are interested, I will be happy to meet with you to discuss your needs.

Fun

I'm really into making electronic music and writing about it. If you like, take a look at a small archive of some of my work.
