The International History Network welcomes contributions of uncopyrighted documents to its various FTP sites. As a relatively new organization, we are still in the process of recruiting persons to create FTP sites, collect documents, and then connect to our central interface at history.cc.ukans.edu. Our goal is to provide as many electronic documents of historical interest as possible but to do this in a distributive fashion (no single site could afford to store and provide retrieval facilities for all the material).

Would you be willing to create a site for African history and take responsibility for collecting materials for it? You would be doing a great service to the scholarly community. If you are willing, please let me know.

To see how HNServer works, you should telnet to history.cc.ukans.edu and login as history.
