Water Resources Gopher

This gopher "watering" hole is officially named the Universities Water Information Network. This UWIN server is being constructed with funding from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) under the auspices of the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR). Our goal is to provide useful information to the water resources community.

Currently, we are working on expanding the Expert Directory and Research Abstracts Directory that you see on the main menu. Over the next few months, we are working on :

- a directory of on-going contracted research - surveying graduate programs for an education directory (NOTE: this will be an update of the 1989 UCOWR Graduate Studies in Water Resources publication which is still available from UCOWR in booklet form) - likewise, UCOWR's Funding Opportunities in Water Resources Research 1989-90 is being updated. - gathering information on calls jobs, conferences, calls for proposals, RFP's, etc. - developing a directory of computer models used in water resources fields - coordinating the inclusion of publications from the National Institutes for Water Resources (NIWR).
