April 21. AFRICA BUSINESS CONFERENCE 1999. The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) has opened registration for its initial African Business Conference (ABC'99). The conference is designed to facilitate stronger commercial ties between businesses in CT and Sub-Saharan Africa. The conference will hold an opening reception on the evening of April 20th at the Goodwin Hotel and the conference itself will take place on April 21st at the Travelers Educational Center, 200 Constitution Plaza, Hartford. Taking the lead in organizing the conference is James Nicholas, Director of Africa Marketing and Trade for the DECD.
