Sept. 23. Talk. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings (the First Lady of Ghana). She will discuss the status of women in Ghana and her work on behalf of women. African-American Cultural Center, 4:00 pm. A reception will follow the presentation.

Sept. 24. Roundtable Discussion on Education and Training for African Development. Speakers: Richard Vengroff (Political Science); Momar Ndiaye (IPSI); Samson Kimenyi (Economics); and Mary Alice Guilford (Women's Institute for African Rural Development). Boris Bravo-Ureta, Executive Director of the Division of International Affairs, will make introductory remarks. African-American Cultural Center, 4:00 pm. A pot-luck supper will follow the program.

Mondlane is in the USA to participate in several events memorializing the assassination of her husband, Eduardo Mondlane, thirty years ago.
