Admissions

Students applying to the MAPP program must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have an excellent academic record. Working professionals with 3+ years of professional experience will be asked to submit professional recommendations, a professional resume, and an essay describing their interests and experience. Applicants who have graduated in the past three years, and applicants with fewer than three years professional experience will be required to submit GRE scores in addition to the aforementioned application materials.

We are no longer accepting applications for Fall 2008. We are currently accepting applications for 2009. The deadline is March 1, 2009. Evaluation of Applicants

Applicants are evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and strong academic record
  • Three letters of recommendation from faculty, supervisors, or professional colleagues addressing academic abilities and professional achievement
  • Performance on the Graduate Record Exam (required for those completing a Bachelor’s degree within the last three years; recommended for those who do not yet have professional credentials.)
  • TOEFL scores for non-native speakers of English
  • Written statement of career objectives and reasons for choosing the MAPP Program at the University of Pennsylvania College of General Studies
  • Professional Resume
