CGS Sponsors The War

June 20, 2007

The University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Liberal Arts program, housed in Penn’s College of General Studies, is a proud sponsor of the broadcast of Ken Burns’ new documentary film, The War

An epic 14-hour film, The War explores the history and horror of the Second World War. Six years in the making, the documentary focuses on the stories of citizens from four geographically distributed American towns, painting vivid portraits of how the war dramatically altered their lives and those of their neighbors, as well as the country they helped to save for generations to come.

The War will air on Philadelphia’s WHYY-TV in seven episodes beginning Sunday, September 23 at 8 p.m.
