Registration

Students currently enrolled in a program at the University of Pennsylvania may register for CGS online courses through Penn-in-Touch. A list of available online courses can be found in the College of General Studies course guide.

Not currently a student at the University of Pennsylvania?

In order to register for a CGS online course it is necessary to apply and be admitted to a program at the University of Pennsylvania. The College of General Studies offers both degree and non-degree programs for individuals who are interested in taking courses within the School of Arts of Sciences for credit. To find a program that is right for you, please refer to the College of General Studies homepage.

Please note that there is an additional $60.00 online course fee for all online courses.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees will be billed directly by the Bursar's Office upon registration. Click here for a current tuition table.

Please note that there is an additional $60.00 fee for all online courses.

Students should expect to spend an additional $75 to $150 for textbooks, study guides, and reading materials, which vary by course.

At this time, there is no financial aid or scholarship funding available specifically for CGS Online Learning courses. Current Penn students and Penn employees should check with their Financial Aid Officer or benefits officer regarding the use of financial aid for CGS Online Learning course work. Representatives of community organizations, guidance counselors, etc. may be able to provide information about possible sources of financial aid.
