Post-Baccalaureate Programs

Admissions - General Information

You must be admitted to a CGS program or degree before you can register for or attend classes. CGS operates on a "rolling" admissions schedule. Once an application file is complete, the Admissions Committee reviews the application and informs you of the decision, usually within ten days. Please check here for application deadlines. Admitted students may matriculate at CGS during the Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.

The Admissions Committee examines with care the academic background of each applicant, taking into consideration previous institutions attended, courses completed, and cumulative grade point average. Competitive applicants have at least a 3.0 (B) cumulative grade point average in their previous academic work.

Applicants may wish to schedule a meeting with an academic advisor prior to submitting an application. These meetings can be helpful, permitting students to explain an unusual background, assess the appropriateness of the CGS curriculum to the student's goals, or resolve personal or academic questions related to enrolling at Penn.
