For students interested in the language, history, literature and culture of Argentina and other Latin American countries. The Penn-in-Buenos Aires program is a partnership with the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, the third-largest city in Latin America. Course offerings include intermediate Spanish and Argentine literature and history. Designed at the turn of the century as the "Paris of Latin America,” Buenos Aires today is a perfect case study of the many cultural and social challenges facing contemporary Latin America. Students live with Argentine families in order to experience full linguistic and cultural immersion.

This program is directed by Professor Jorge Salessi, Associate Professor of Romance Languages; Director of Spanish Programs Abroad.
