Penn Summer Abroad
William A. Levi Travel Fellowship
University of Pennsylvania undergraduates who would like to participate in any Penn Summer Abroad Program are eligible to apply for limited financial support from the Levi Travel Fellowship. A complete application for these funds must be received by February 15, 2008. Recipients will be announced in the spring. Awards are applied directly to tuition or program costs. Travel Fellowship recipients who withdraw from the program forfeit the award. If the program is cancelled, the student may NOT apply the award to any other coursework or program.
How to Apply:
1) Apply to the Penn Summer Abroad Program of your choice by completing the online application.
2) Apply to compete for the Levi Travel Fellowship
A) Write a personal statement responding to the following questions:
- How you will benefit from participation in the program
- Why, in financial terms, you need the award and how you would finance other costs involved to participate in the program.
Send your personal statement by email attachment to summerabroad@sas.upenn.edu. The subject line of your email message should be titled: Levi Travel Fellowship Essay.
B) Contact the Financial Aid office to issue a statement indicating your need for Financial Aid as determined by that office, and the nature and quality of such aid currently being received. The Financial Aid office will provide this information directly to the Fellowship Committee.
All items must be received by February 15, 2008 in order to compete for the 2008 Levi Travel Fellowship.
