Institutional Research Query Database

IRQDB

Please note: On Monday, March 12, 2012 important updates to the Institutional Research Query Database (IRQDB) were made available to all IRQDB users. These changes include updates to the queries that allow for data collection across multiple divisions and enhancements to the aesthetics and usability of the application.

These changes address the issue that students can now have a major outside of their home school. If you are in a department that offers a major which attracts students from other schools, you can now query all your students within a major with one report. Previously, this would require multiple queries in IRQDB.

The Institutional Research Query Database is a tool to be used by the faculty and staff of Penn's schools of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Design, Social Policy & Planning, Annenberg, and BGS to gather student data from the University's Data Warehouse. Please read the warning below for details in regard to the confidentiality of this information.

Please note: IRQDB is unavailable during regularly scheduled Data Warehouse data loads. Data Warehouse loads of student data start each weeknight (Monday - Friday) after 11 PM and Sunday after 5 PM. The length of the load and the start time depend on what has changed since the last load as well as loads of other data to the Warehouse.
