SAS fundraising priorities are set by the Dean. Once a project has been approved by the academic leadership, SAS Advancement staff will:

  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit alumni, parents, friends, foundations and corporations
  • Staff the deans and faculty in their fundraising efforts
  • Serve as advocates for the School with Central Development staff

Other services provided by SAS Advancement staff include:

  • Processing gifts and creating new gift funds
  • Monitoring gift funds to assure that funds are spent for the intended purpose
  • Reporting to donors on the use of their gift
  • Providing information on foundation and corporate giving guidelines
  • Offering advice and assistance on proposal and budget development
