A major or minor in Africana Studies (AFRC) can enhance one's ability to understand the social and cultural aspects of work in fields such as business, teaching, counseling, social service, medicine, and law. Students who wish to major or minor in AFRC should visit the Center for Africana Studies office for information about application procedures.
