Students with a grade point average of 3.3 or better at the end of the junior year are strongly encouraged to apply for honors. Students accepted for honors must enroll in AFRC 499 (Honors) during their final semester and work with an affiliated faculty member to complete an honors thesis. The thesis must be submitted to the Center for Africana Studies office at least two weeks before graduation.
