Education:
Ph.D. University of Arizona 1981
Research Interests:

Harold Dibble's interests encompass the archaeology of the Middle Paleolithic of Western Europe, Egypt, and the Near East. He directs two excavations currently (one in France and one in Morocco) and suggested that interested majors would be welcome on these digs and gain valuable exposure to techniques, methods, and processes of field excavation. These opportunities would be available during the field season, ranging from May-August. He also suggested that there are opportunities for majors to help with a new lab project year-round focusing on lithic experimentation.

Appointments:

Anthropology Department Faculty; Curator-in-Charge, European Archaeology Section, University Museum; Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, University Museum.
