Irteza Binte-Farid

Irteza is a joint degree PhD student in Education and Anthropology, and her interests are in international education, gender studies, South Asian studies, and the anthropology of Islam. Broadly, Irteza wants to study how increasing market privatization and international aid policies are shaping poor families' access to quality education in Bangladesh, with a particular focus on girls' educational trajectories. In addition, Irteza also plans to investigate how female employees at international development organizations are shaped by various circulating ideas of gender equity.
