Penn Social Science & Policy Forum: The Economics and Politics of Inequality

"The One Percent in Historical  and  Comparative Perspective."

Speaker: Thomas Piketty (Professor of Economics, Paris School of Economics)

The Penn Social Science & Policy Forum is a new university-wide, interdisciplinary program that brings together scholars, students, policymakers, and the public to shed light  on some of the key social, economic, and policy challenges confronting the Unites States and the world.

For its 2012-13 inaugural year, SSPF has invited groundbreaking economists, political scientists, sociologists and historians to the Penn campus to discuss The Global Economic Crisis in a series of workshops and lectures that include ample time for questions and debate. Please join us. (Lunch or refreshments provided.)

See below for the Fall 2012 lineup. Spring 2013 will feature a conference and a major lecture by Nobel Prize-winning economist Thomas Sargent.
