The Department of the History of Art at the University of Pennsylvania will celebrate the career of Professor Larry Silver on the occasion of his retirement with this one-day symposium on Friday, October 20th, 2017. The festivities will include short scholarly papers by some of Professor Silver's current and former Penn students, as well as special presentations and spirited tributes to recognize his contributions to the field. The event will conclude with a reception beginning at 5:00pm and will allow ample time for socializing with the honored guest.
