The newest Penn Summer Abroad program—Penn-in-Grahamstown—got off to a rousing start on June 29, when a group of students under the leadership of Penn music professor Carol Muller landed in South Africa to attend the Grahamstown National Arts Festival. 

Carol Muller, Professor of Music, Will Address Penn LPS Graduating Class

Carol Muller, Ph.D., Professor of Music and Senior Ethnomusicologist in the Graduate Anthropology Group at the University of Pennsylvania, will address graduating students at the College of Liberal and Professional Studies Graduation Ceremony on Sunday, May 15, 2011.

A native of South Africa, Dr. Muller earned her Ph.D. at New York University. She is a highly published scholar and specialist in South African music, critical ethnography, comparative religion, gender studies, diaspora, and historiography.
