Requirements

Total Graduation Requirement: 36 credit units. There is an 18 credit unit major requirement. This program, along with the College General Education Curriculum, automatically satisfies all of the undergraduate course suggestions or requirements for entry into medical schools.

Freshman/Sophomore

2 Credits - Calculus, 2 semesters (MATH 104 and MATH 114/116)
3 Credits - General Chemistry, 2 semesters with laboratory (CHEM 101/115, CHEM 102/116, CHEM 053, and CHEM 054)
3 Credits - General Physics with calculus, 2 semesters with laboratory (PHYS 150/170 and PHYS 151/171)

Sophomore/Junior

2 Credits - Organic Chemistry, 2 semesters (CHEM 241 and CHEM 242/243)
1 Credit - Organic Chemistry laboratory (CHEM 245, offered either semester) OR Physical Chemistry laboratory (CHEM 223, Spring only)

Junior/Senior

2 Credits - Physical Chemistry, 2 semesters (CHEM 221 and CHEM 222)
3 Credits - Biochemistry, 3 semesters (CHEM 251, CHEM 451, and CHEM 452)
2 Credits - Research in Selected Faculty Laboratories, 2 semesters (BCHE 404)
