Email Help for SAS Students

Email Help for SAS Students

SAS faculty and staff: if you need help, please consult the local support provider (LSP) for your department

Logging into webmail.sas.upenn.edu

Only students whose accounts were created prior to May 2007 can log into webmail.sas. Penn Live users should log in at http://pennlive.sas.upenn.edu (more information). GMail users and others forwarding should log directly into their forwarding destinations (e.g. http://gmail.com).

Getting SPAM messages from your own address?

Spammers will "spoof" the "from" address on their messages in an attempt to bypass spam filters on Penn email systems.  System administrators continually fine-tune the filtering on our anti-SPAM systems to minimize the impact of this problem.  If you see SPAM coming from you own account, that does NOT mean that someone has broken into your account.

Never disclose your email password!
Penn students are often targeted by fraudulent "phishing" messages.  The subject line and content of these messages come in various forms and can look very authentic. If you get any message that ask you for your password, please do NOT reply or forward the message - just delete it. If you think you already may have been deceived into disclosing your password, please fill out the help form below and we will investigate (and of course you should NOT include your password in your help request).

SAS Computing or other legitimate system administrators will never ask for your password.
