What is the recommended newsreader?

Netscape 7.1 or above is the recommended product for reading newsgroups. You may also use tin. Tin is a threaded newsreader available when you connect directly to mail.sas with a telnet or ssh client. Please note that newsgroups are a public forum, and that anyone associated with the University has access to all of the messages that are posted.
