Why are there two disk quota levels on mail.sas?
Your disk quota is the amount of space you are allocated in your home directory
on mail.sas. This is also called your soft limit. Since it is possible
for you to exceed your disk quota, it is also necessary to set an upper
limit or hard limit. The hard limit is usually 1.5 to 2 megabytes
above your soft limit. When your disk usage is above your hard limit, files
are overwritten by others and data is lost.
When you exceed your disk quota, you are given a grace period of seven
days. If you do not clear up your account in the allotted time, the soft
limit turns into your upper limit.
