Computers Printing Software

SSC administers the Population Studies Center computer lab in the McNeil Building.Use of the lab is retricted to PSC associates and graduate students. Send requests about the lab to: POPS-LSP@ssc.upenn.edu

Computers in the Lab
The lab has seven Windows XP computers. Authentication is through the SAS (School of Arts and Sciences) Domain. The lab has multimedia capability and a scanner.

Printing in the Lab
The lab has grayscale and color printers. Payment for printing is via PennCash. Printing is a two step process.
  • Step 1: Queue the document to be printed.
  • Step 2: Release the job at the print station. The print station operates with a card swipe for PennCards. Print charges are automatically deducted from the PennCash account.

    Van Pelt Library and other labs in the McNeil Building use the same printing system.
