Jay helps instructors in the School of Arts & Sciences to use technology in their teaching. In particular, he assists with Blackboard, Drupal sites, Open Scholar sites, and mailing lists.
Jay earned a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and teaches the occasional course in the field. He plays electric bass and electronic wind instrument.
