Workstation Services (WKS) provides support to SAS faculty, staff and students for multiuser/multitasking servers and workstations (eg. DEC, HP, IBM, SGI, Sun) used for research and instruction. WKS operates many systems including mail.sas (electronic mail and general purpose timesharing machine), the SAS web server and the SAS Oracle database server. WKS writes and maintains software and distributed applications that run on a wide variety of UNIX systems and some non UNIX systems.
