Home: Queens, NY
Year: Junior - Class of 2012
Majors: Finance and Marketing
Campus Activities: CWiC Public Speaking Advisor, Tutor at the Penn Writing Center, VP of Black Wharton Undergraduate Association, and RA in Harrison College House
My most memorable public speaking experience: 9th Grade Presentation to my entire school on my family background. My father is Jamaican, and my mother is Russian and Czechoslovakian. This personal topic was memorable, because it was the first time I had spoken to a relatively large audience. There were over 250 people in attendance.
I became a CWiC Advisor because: I want to be an influential leader in the future. More than anything else, I will need strong communication skills. Additionally, I enjoy working with students, and getting to meet my peers is one of the best perks of being a CWiC Advisor.
