David Spafford wins NEH Grant

We are proud to announce that Dr. David Spafford has been awarded an National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for his project “The Corporate House in Japan, 1450 – 1650.”  He will use the award to conduct research culminating in a book on the social functions of the warrior house; exploring in particular, practices and ideas about family identity, survival, and legacy.
