Igneous Rocks

Examples of igneous rocks include: Basalt, Diorite, Gabbro, Obsidian, Pumice, Scoria, Granite, Volcanic Breccia, Andesite, Dunite, Peridotite, Rhyolite.

Samples of extrusive and intrusive rocks serve as an introduction to the forces at work beneath the Earth’s crust.
