GEOL 208: Structural Geology
 
Penn's Structural Geology course is designed to introduce deformation as a fundamental geologic process. Definition, measurement, geometrical and statistical analysis, and interpretation of structural features are also covered. Structural problems are illustrated in the field.
 
Students examine fold geometry.
 
Strong folding in Pennsylvania coal country. Dr. Phipps for scale.
