The United Nations General Assembly has adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs] which establish targets for the world community to meet by the year 2030. Throughout the SDGs will be goals and targets that address the precarious global water ‘situation’. This presentation will address the worldwide progress made in drinking water and sanitation as well as the future challenges in water management that focus on the health and lives of all the people on this planet. Opportunities to be or to become involved in the global water policy arena will also be presented.
