Re-engineering Philadelphia's Urban Watersheds: Clean Water, Green City

Philadelphia's new Office of Watersheds is committed to restoring water quality and aquatic health to the City's rivers and streams, promoting regional participation and ownership of watershed-based plans, educating and involving the public in environmental improvements, and improving neighborhoods through a focus on the environment and quality of life.

This presentation will discuss the unique challenges faced by Philadelphia in addressing wide ranging and often conflicting environmental laws and regulations and present an engaging perspective on re-thinking the roles of cities, regulators, interest groups and other stakeholders in managing our land and water environments.
