Department of Earth and Environmental Science

Prospective Students

High school students considering Penn are encouraged to tour the campus. Students interested in Environmental Studies or Earth Science (Geology, Paleobiology, or Environmental Science) are welcome to stop by the department to meet any of the advisors. If you contact the Associate Director or the Undergraduate Chair at least a week ahead of your scheduled visit, they will attempt to arrange for you to meet some current majors and attend classes in the field of your interest.

When planning your visit, please keep in mind that the best days to come to campus are Monday through Thursday. Avoid Breaks and Holidays (Fall Break, Spring Break, Winter Break) as classes will not be in session and students will not be on campus.
