Ian Nichols joined the ELP as a Language Specialist in January 2012.
Mr. Nichols earned his BA and MA in English literature, as well as a graduate certificate in TESOL, from Missouri State University. He taught freshman and sophomore composition, basic writing, and creative nonfiction there before beginning work at Missouri State’s English Language Institute in 2007. Around this time, he spent two summers teaching English at a middle school program at the American School in Switzerland.
In 2009, Mr. Nichols joined the College English Program at Seoul National University, where much of his focus was on composition. Since coming to the ELP, Mr. Nichols has taught in a variety of university-based and open-enrollment programs. He has served as a mentor for Graduate School of Education TESOL candidates since 2013. His current interests include program coordination and oral proficiency testing.
