Sharon Kim

Sharon Kim has been teaching in the English Language Programs at the University of Pennsylvania since 2006 and became the Associate Director of Business Development in 2011. Prior to entering the field of ESL, she spent 4 years in accounting, asset management, and financial policy analysis with SK Global, SEI Investments, and Korea’s Ministry of Finance and Economy. Building on these experiences and her interest in international development, she has also worked with a non-profit organization in India to integrate English language education with microfinance programs in under-resourced communities.

In addition to her TESOL degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Kim has an M.P.A. with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a B.A. in Sociology from Yale University. Her professional interests include English language education in economic development and educational technologies.
