The ELP offers instruction in English as a second or international language and exposure to the cultures of the United States. We also offer testing, consulting services, and cross-cultural training. In addition, we contribute to the ESL profession as a whole by our work as researchers, presenters, and educators. We serve adults whose purpose is to learn English for a variety of social, professional, academic, or personal reasons. More»

Campus Life

There are many different things to do at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). Over 23,000 students study at Penn, including 4,500 international students. Penn students are involved in over 250 clubs and organizations, such as the Tai Kwon Do Club, Thai Students Association, and Penn Cycling Club.

The helpful staff of the ELP Student Center help students learn more about organizations and activities on the Penn campus and how to get involved in them. More»

Alumni

"I had the best time! I will always affectionately remember my experience at the ELP. I have so much to say about this program, but I would rather have you experience it yourself. I am certain that you will find it to be a tremendous experience as well."
- Ricardo Maldonado, Venezuela IP/SIP, Spring 2002
