Alyssa Swanson joined the ELP as a lecturer in 2010. She moved into the Advising Specialist role in 2013 and became Intensive Program Manager in 2014. As the Intensive Program Manager, Ms. Swanson oversees the ELP’s Intensive Program, which consists of nearly 40 courses and 8 levels of proficiency in English--from beginning to advanced.
Prior to joining the ELP, Ms. Swanson worked at Temple University for three years in their International Affairs department and Intensive English Language Program while getting her M.S.Ed in TESOL. Shortly after her time at Temple, Ms. Swanson sought to expand her experience in the field of international education and became an Assistant Site Director for the N.U.in Program at Northeastern University. As an Assistant Site Director, Ms. Swanson led first-year freshman students abroad for their first semester of college working in London, England the Fall of 2011 and Thessaloniki, Greece the Fall of 2012.
Ms. Swanson holds a B.A. in Communications and Spanish from Penn State University and an M.S.Ed in TESOL from Temple University.
