The English Language Programs has been offering evening courses for students, professionals, researchers and others for over 20 years. All evening courses emphasize in-class practice of language skills and strategies. Out-of-class assignments are limited, making these courses perfect for the busy professional or others with full-time commitments during the day. Evening courses meet once per week and are offered for all levels of English proficiency, from beginning to advanced. Courses are typically held in Fisher-Bennett Hall, located at 3340 Walnut Street, from 6:00-8:30 pm. Courses do not meet on University holidays. If a course is scheduled to meet on a holiday, some or all class meeting times will be 6:00-8:55 p.m. to compensate for the class missed. Evening courses do not carry University academic credit, but certificates are awarded for successful completion of courses.
