The English Language Programs has been offering evening courses for students, professionals, researchers and others for over 20 years. All evening courses emphasize practice and assessment of specific language skills and strategies through in-class activities and homework assignments. As these courses generally only meet once a week in the evening, they are perfect for the busy professional or others with full-time commitments during the day.
All SIP and Evening courses typically meet once a week, Monday through Thursday for 7 weeks, except the TOEFL course which meets twice a week. These courses are offered for students at a variety of English proficiency levels, from high beginners to advanced students.
Courses are typically held in Fisher-Bennett Hall, located at 3340 Walnut Street, from 6:00-7:40 pm. Courses do not meet on University holidays. If a course is scheduled to meet on a holiday, some or all class meeting times will be 6:00-7:55 p.m. to compensate for the class missed. Evening courses do not carry University academic credit, but certificates are awarded for successful completion of courses.
