Grades in each course must be reported to the Registrar
by the date announced each semester on the grade sheets
(which you will receive late in the semester). For Fall
2004 courses, this date is set as the day the University
reopens after the winter break (for 2004-05 this date is
January 3).
The Registrar, however, would very much appreciate it if
faculty would submit their grades within 72 hours of the
time of their final exam, since this facilitates processing
of the grades. It is the responsibility of each faculty
member to report final grades on time. In the fall semester
a student's application to graduate or professional school
may be seriously jeopardized by an inaccurate or incomplete
transcript. In the spring semester, because there is such
a short window of time between exams and Commencement, late
grades can prevent a student from graduating on time.
