Deborah Marshall
Deborah Marshall is the Executive Director of Research Administration for
the School of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania.
Reporting directly to the Vice Dean for Finance and Administration, Deb
is responsible for ensuring successful research management throughout
the sponsored project life-cycle; facilitating research by supporting
SAS faculty and Regional business offices, and participating in the
development, interpretation and implementation of research policy.
Deb came to Penn in 2004 as an Associate Director and subsequently
Director of Preaward Administration in the Office of Research Services.
Previously she spent twelve years in research administration on the
departmental and central levels at Rutgers University. Deb received an
MS in Higher Education Administration from Capella University and is
currently in the Masters of Bioethics program here at Penn.
