SCHEDULE

Note: In keeping with the musical metaphor that has insisted its way into the cyberforum, and to sustain an improvisational tone, this symposium will not be dominated by prepared papers. Rather, each speaker session is presided over by Tweeters [definition] (graduate students from the program in Folklore and Folklife) and Woofers [definition] (more senior members of the field). The tweeters will inaugurate each session with a question or two, on which each woofer will then offer a riff -- a rumination with further questions, designed to spark discussion from the floor.
