On May 3, 2004 the Original Fox Scholars joined Bob and Penny Fox to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Program. The Original Fox Scholars presented Mr. Fox with a Resolution that reads:

Resolution of the Original Fox Scholars

Whereas, long prior to the founding five years ago of the Fox Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania, a small group of students participated in a series of individualized, non-credit seminars in leadership taught by Robert A. Fox.

Whereas, this course was taught over any number of breakfasts and lunches, board meetings and informal meetings, as well as in any number of hands-on real life learning opportunities.

Whereas, Mr. Fox has given generously of his time and imparted much wisdom and direction and caring upon this original group of Fox Scholars.

Whereas, Mr. Fox mentored this group by providing exceedingly sound professional and personal advice, encouragement (and the occasional kick in the posterior section), and by providing a stellar example of determination, an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way and extraordinary success in all matters personal and professional.

Whereas, Mr. Fox has been a loyal and true friend to each original Fox Scholar.

Whereas, the Fox Scholars recognize that much of his wisdom, character and humility emanate from his partner, Mrs. Fox.

Whereas, upon the fifth anniversary of the Fox Leadership Program, a program intended to provide training in leadership and character to current and future Fox Scholars of the University of Pennsylvania, the original Fox Scholars thought it appropriate to recognize their extraordinary good fortune in having been mentored by Mr. Fox by making a gift to the program that bears his name.

Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved, in a gesture of great admiration and appreciation and in furtherance of the good work being done by the Fox Leadership Program in general and Community TechServe in particular, the original Fox Scholars, whose signatures are found below, on this Third Day of May 2004, have made a contribution, intended to provide three years of funding for the Community TechServe initiative, to the Fox Leadership Program of the University of Pennsylvania.

Thanks Bob!
