Leadership Experiences
Leadership Experiences are grouped into three categories: PowerSpeak, Civic Entrepreneurship, and the Fox Student Steering Committee.
PowerSpeak offers workshops and several practicums that allow students to develop and practice their communication skills. For example, through the PowerSpeak presentation workshop students learn how to prepare and deliver an engaging and convincing presentation.
Through Civic Entrepreneurship, the Fox Program challenges students to help develop and/or participate in projects of civic excellence. For example, FLINOLA (Fox Leadership in New Orleans, Louisiana) mobilizes 100 students annually for spring break service projects, and offers summer internship opportunities in New Orleans.
The members of the Fox Student Steering Committee are carefully selected from among the many talented students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. Committee members develop, publicize, and host Leadership Events, organize the Fox Red and Blue Speaking Society, and develop and manage Fox programs such as Penn Leads the Vote.
