Symposia
Fox Faculty Director, Dr. John DiIulio, discusses the first amendment.
Each symposium begins with a public lecture by a keynote speaker followed by dinner for 15 students and the speaker. Like Fox's other dinners, the students include members of the Fox Student Steering Committee and other undergraduates with a keen interest in the topic.
The second day of the symposium consists of a two-hour panel session that includes several leading authorities on the selected topic and is moderated by the previous day's keynote speaker. In addition, the panelists host 90-minute 10-15 student study groups prior to the public session.
At the Penn Leads the Vote
Symposium Jaime Uzeta from MTV, Alexis McGill of Citizen Change, Ivan
Frishberg from New Voters Project and Jennifer Phillips of National
Campaign for Political and Civic Engagment discuss how to increase
political participation among young adults.
After the Symposium, the Fox team publishes a Fox report that includes the revised background report and a transcript of the panelists' remarks.
