Reports to the Vice Dean for Finance & Administration and is responsible for daily operations of the Department. He supervises SAS Building Administrators (direct reports) and is responsible for the support and training of other SAS Building Administrators (indirect reports). He also supervises FPO Project Managers and Administrative Assistant. He is responsible for major relocations within SAS, leased space and project planning and management. He also serves as the principal liaison of the School both to Public Safety for security and access systems and to the University Registrar's office for classroom design, modification and maintenance.
Tom has a BA in Architecture from Penn and an MBA from Temple University. Before joining SAS, he was the Sr. Project Manager for the design and construction of Huntsman Hall, and Associate Director of Design and Construction for Trammell Crow Facilities Services at Penn. Earlier he was Senior Planner in the University's Department of Facilities Planning. Prior to working at Penn, he was involved in historic restoration, both design and development.
