Paule is currently working on her dissertation tentatively entitled “To the Ends of the Earth with Verne (and Beyond): Explorations of Limitedness in Nineteenth-Century France,” in which she reflects on the dawning threat of ecological endangerment through an exploration of the geographical, geological, and ecological ends of the globe in fin-de-siècle science fiction novels, particularly in Jules Verne’s Voyages Extraordinaires.
