Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society, UPenn Chapter

Purpose

Pi Delta Phi is the French National Honor Society. The Society's goal is to recognize outstanding scholarship in the French language and to stimulate and encourage French and francophone cultural activities. The Xi Chapter, founded at Penn in 1938, aims to establish a community on campus for undergraduates studying French. 

Membership Requirements

In order to become a member of Pi Delta Phi, all candidates must meet the following criteria: 
1) Undergraduate students
2) Completion of at least one course at the 1000-level
3) 3.0 GPA in French courses
4) 3.0 overall cumulative GPA
5) Sophomore standing

Application Guidelines

Applications will be sent out at the start of both the Fall and Spring semesters and induction will also occur in each semester.
