Dr. Andree Hahmann

DAAD Visiting Professor

Williams Hall 440 (Penn Language Resource Center)

Please join us for the penultimate session this year of our departmental research seminar. Andree Hahmann will present some work in progress on Aristotle, Aquinas, Goethe and Hegel: Tina Beattie's March 2012 article in The Guardian, "Thomas Aquinas, part 7: the questions of evil" as well as translations of Aristotle and Goethe.

Professor Hahmann recently finished Aristoteles gegen Epikur, an examination of the fundamental differences between Aristotelian and Hellenistic philosophy and is currently working on Werde Gott gleich, in which he explores the intersections between theology and ethics in ancient philosophy.

Breakfast will be served.
